I’m Bethany.

Living my 20’s with a heavy emphasis on travel. My partner and I recently bought an RV and are preparing for life on the road. This is going to make it exceptionally easier for me to travel for eloping couples!
I was born two days after Valentine’s, so yaaaa, that makes me an Aquarius. According to the internet, this makes me the zodiac’s unique snowflake. I mean, I wouldn’t disagree, we’re all pretty cool if I do say so myself.
I’m originally from the Gulf Coast of Alabama and have done my fair share of moving already in such a short amount of time in life. I attended college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for — I know what you’re thinking, PHOTOGRAPHY, but I actually didn’t! — Public Health. It has nothing to do with photography. So, why am I taking photos of super fun couples as they promise forever to each other in some of the most gorgeous places on earth? Only because this is THE BEST JOB EVER! But, really, it is. Photographing couples and capturing all of your love stories never ceases to light a spark in my soul and feeds that creativity inside of me (totally from being an Aquarius).

After college, I moved around quite a bit. From 2019 - 2025 I have lived in 5 states (not even in an RV yet!) I’ve had the opportunity to live in California, Washington, North Carolina, Florida, and Arizona. I do have to say that I cannot wait to cruise our RV around the U.S. and explore even more of the beauty here in the states!

I have three beautiful fur babies, Athena, Pancho & Jackson. Athena is a German shepherd, Pancho is a Mexico mutt (yes, he is actually from Mex!), & Jackson is my cat. Both, Athena & Jackson were adopted in central California and have made all the moves with me! If you have any fur babies, please share so we can bond over their super cute faces!

How I like to spend free time:

You can usually find me planning out some epic trip, daydreaming ideas for RV renovations, taking our dogs on a walk with my partner, watching trashy reality TV, whipping up a delicious meal, or my guilty pleasure is watching my partner PJ play video games 😉
Traveling:

I have visited 27 out of the 50 states and lived in 6: Alabama, California, Washington, North Carolina, Florida, and Arizona. I have also visited 16 out of 63 National Parks in the United States and have traveled to two other countries.
What I value:

Quality time, being present, thought provoking conversations, and nature. I love just being able to go on a hike and have conversations that are beyond surface level. I want to truly get to know the person that I’m spending my time with, how their thought process works, what they value in life, etc.
Why photography?

Every photographer is different. For me, I get my joy through a variety of different things. It will start in the booking process with my clients. Whether we hop on a phone call to chat or I’m reading your relationship questionnaires, I become so amazed by how vulnerable and authentic my clients are willing to be with me. I feed off of the connection that we create on our call, your engagement shoot, and the day of your wedding. But, what makes me want to continue this journey is telling your story through still images. While I’m editing your gallery I’ll catch myself smiling at your laughter, your longing looks for each other, and your mom tearing up in the front row. Your images make me feel like I’m there all over again and that’s what I want you to feel too.

It’s honestly everywhere. One second we’ll be listening to George Straight and then next thing you know, Travis Scott will be on. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, pop, rap, country, and early 2000’s rock. My two favorite artists currently are Morgan Wallen and Post Malone.

You may be here looking for a photographer, sure, but I’m here to provide more than just images in a gallery. I’ll be there for you through your entire elopement process, to create the most memorable and relaxing wedding experience possible. To guide you through the planning, help you make the hard decisions, and create a space for you to feel like yourselves as you promise to spend forever with the love of your life. I’m here to help you focus on what truly matters on your wedding day.

I believe...

I genuinely believe that choosing to have an elopement, just the two of you, or an intimate wedding, with your closest people, is THE BEST way to get married. You should feel like yourself on your wedding day. There should be no rush to get through the day to make sure everything’s on time, no surface-level conversation with a blur of 150+ guests, no embarrassment or fear to speak your vows to the love of your life. Having a space to truly be yourself on your wedding day is what we’ll be creating on your elopement day.

From the moment that you hire me, it’s all about YOU. I’m here to capture your love story for exactly what it is. I’m not here to distort your story into the “perfect” Instagram post or try to mold you into anything that your not.
My goal is to give you images that you can look at and feel those same emotions that you feel when you’re with your hunny, to hear their laugh that you love so much, and feel the warmth that their arms give you when they’re wrapped around you. We all want those photos that speak 1000 words and that’s what I’m here to give you.

After many obstacles from COVID and wild fires getting in the way of our engagement photos, Bethany helped us rearrange not only the date but literal states as well. We had originally planned to have our photos taken in CA but ended up in WA! Bethany was extremely helpful and accommodating. And that wasn't even the best part! Her work is absolutely AMAZING! Amazing, AMAZING photographer!! Bethany is super friendly and fun to be around. She truly has a talent and is gifted with photography skills. When I opened my photos from her (which she got to me the same day) I cried! They were so stunning. I instantly order canvases for my wall! Did I mention she is amazing!! 1000% recommend her for any type of photography shoot.

My Husband and I had a great time with Bethany for our Elopement pictures. Leading up to the Elopement she was wonderful to work with, even with all the changes due to COVID she was on top of it and accommodating. We are pretty simple, laid back people and Bethany helped us make some really special pictures to share with our friends and family.

Chase + Bree, Lake Sabrina

I’ve had pictures done by Bethany twice, at different locations. We did a session at the beach and Bethany was right there in the water with us, bending to all these crazy angles to get the best shot. We also did a session at Lake Sabrina, Bethany found an amazing spot on the lake, took us up there and had us laughing the whole time! When I said I was gonna make my husband jump in with me she said ‘ WAIT! Let me get the camera.’ She also did a quick little shoot with my dog and a flower crown and I’ll never get rid of them. Cutest pictures. She captures everything so beautifully and really makes the session so fun and enjoyable. She is SO great at editing and getting your gallery to you in a timely manner. She’s professional, but makes it so comfortable to be yourself. She’s an amazing choice. Book her, you’ll fall in love with the memories she captures.
