Blue Ridge Mountains Hiking Elopement // Rebecca + Greg
Rachel and Greg traveled from Virginia for their Blue Ridge Mountains elopement in Tennessee. We met them at their Yurt Airbnb in Newland, NC where they got ready together and helped one another get dressed before loading up in their Tacoma and driving to Roan Mountain State Park.
Once arriving in the park, everyone grabbed their backpacks and waters before starting 2.5 mile hike up to Grassy Ridge Bald. It was an absolutely beautiful hike up with a ton of places to stop and take in the mountains around us. Once we reached the top, everyone sat down on a rock for a little picnic lunch. After we started enjoying our sandwiches, the dark grey clouds in the distance had started their approach towards us on the grassy bald and it actually started to hail! We threw on our rain coats and continued to enjoy our sandwiches as the storm rolled passed.
Once the storm passed over us, Rachel and Greg started to get ready and finish with the final touches for their elopement day look. Both of them wore denim outfits. Rachel’s Denim Vest Suit from Free People was an absolutely spectacular and unique elopement day outfit that suited her perfectly.
Rachel and Greg finished getting ready and walked back out to the rock where we had all sat for our picnic lunch. They both pulled out their vows and shared their hearts with one another before exchanging rings.
We spent the remainder of our time on Roan Mountain exploring the grassy bald and just enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains that we were surrounded by before making the hike back down to our vehicles and saying our see ya later’s to prepare for another fun day celebrating the two of them. Rachel and Greg booked a multi-day elopement package and had reservations for a fun day of riding UTVs in the mountains the day after their elopement.
